Part of the FA series, this banknote combines the political and natural heritage of the country, with enhanced durability through its polymer material, which is resistant to wear and tear.
On the front side of the note, a portrait of Samora Machel, former president and symbol of Mozambiques independence, is meticulously detailed. Facing left, his image embodies the courage and resilience of a leader who fought for his countrys liberation from colonial rule. Surrounding his portrait are geometric patterns inspired by Mozambican cultural arts, adding an artistic dimension to the note.
The back side is a vibrant tribute to African biodiversity, featuring a group of elephants moving majestically across the plains of Mozambique. The background includes elements of local vegetation, creating a scene reminiscent of Africas vast landscapes.
