Known for her fiery temperament, Freydis Eiriksdottir is the next valiant heroine of The Way To Valhalla saga, one of the first Viking women to explore and settle the New World.
A vibrant digital print accentuates the fur cloak that adorns Freydis on the high-relief coin. Her sword and shield are not mere armaments but emblems of her fierce resolve, while the Viking ship prominently underscores her pivotal role in pioneering new lands. According to legend, when her fellow voyagers cowered during a Skraeling attack, the pregnant Freydis stood her ground, single-handedly repelling the invaders.
Freydis symbolizes courage and determination, inspiring generations to take on challenges and pave their own path.
