Parlais was a small city in the north of Pisidia. It was one of the many Roman settlements, built like forts, of the 1^st century BC. The language in these colonies was latin, which we can also see on the coins. The 2^nd and 3^rd century AD was a period of prosperity, but the first years of the 4^th century AD marked the beginning of the decline of Pisidian cities.
